The Elm Tree Story Booth

Hey everyone! I am loving this summer as I find myself in the midst of constructing the Elm Tree Story Booth; a ten-foot, hand-built, elm tree shaped phone booth commissioned by the Natural Heritage Project, and retrofitted with a digital recording device; open for public discourse on personal interactions with nature. This project is precisely why I built my workshop; stop by anytime this month to get a sneak preview.

The Elm Tree Story Booth will be headed to the AZ Gallery to debut during the With the Grain exhibit, then make its way to the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization (MWMO) to record the stories of residents living and working within the organization’s district. The Natural Heritage Project & the University of St. Thomas are also developing a touring schedule for the booth along the Mississippi river with the intent to better understand how the community interacts with the river.
